The Cape 31 Mini Series ended in unforgettable style as Flying Jenny 19 claimed overall victory after a thrilling 7-race series. With a net score of just 10 points, the team delivered a standout performance, securing 1st place in a highly competitive 14-boat fleet.
Bullit finished 2nd overall, with Akheilos in 3rd, both pushing hard in some of the closest racing the class has seen this season.
In the Corinthian division, the top honors went to:
🥇 Toucan
🥈 Flurg
🥉 Narwhal
To cap off the week, the Cape 31 class celebrated in style with an AIX Rose–sponsored party at the stunning Summer Garden venue at the Island Sailing Club. Each team kicked off the night with a Magnum of rosé, before a 15L Nebuchadnezzar was uncorked in true Cape 31 fashion. The evening rolled on with live music from the high-energy Catch 22 band, with dancing, laughter, and stories shared late into the night.
The Mini Series not only showcased the tight one-design racing the Cape 31 is known for, but also the unmatched camaraderie and spirit of the fleet—on and off the water.
Next up, the fleet looks ahead to the season finale this autumn, as momentum continues to build across the class.
