Round Three of the 31 Race Circuit saw the UK Cape 31 fleet head to Cowes Week one of the most renowned sailing events in the world. The Cape 31 Fleet was a real show piece with 24 teams competing from seven nations. The first four days was class racing with a mix of windward reward races before the teams slotted back in to the usual Round the Cans "proper Cowes Week" racing.
American owner Sandy Askew, and her Flying Jenny crew took the regatta by storm, winning both the four day Cape 31 "Round" as well as winning the week overall.
Sandy and team have been working hard to get on the podium since joining the fleet last year. After coming third at Round 2 (Royal Lymington National Championships) they carried the momentum into Round 3 sailing very cleanly with top three results in all their races.
