2023 Irish Cape 31 plans coming together!
With the 31 Race Circuit being one highlight of the season, the Cape 31 Class are also looking forward to the headline class events in Ireland this summer.
The Irish Class debut at Cork Week 2022 with six Cape 31's racing off the Emerald Isle.
The fleet was made up of four Irish teams and two teams travelling from the solent. RCYC local legend Anthony O'Leary won the regatta on Antix taking the title of first ever Irish Cape 31 National Champion. Will he be able to hold onto his title this year? The competition is getting stiffer and it looks like there will be a few more visitors from the solent.
Most of the Irish owners have committed to some solent based events before heading back to their home ports for some summer fun in July. Katabatic and Shotgunn owners Lance Adams and Michael Wilson had such a great time at Cork week they have committed to be in Ireland for July 2023.
As well as these two teams all of the Irish owners will be on the start line. Bartholomew's Tokoloshe is entered for Dun Laoghaire and we're sure some more will make the trip.
Will you be there? Get planning your Irish adventure!
6th-9th July - Dun Laoghaire Regatta.
14th-16th July - Irish National Championship at the Royal Irish YC.
